About Us

Listed in the 1879 census, The World Upside Down's unusual name is said to be derived from a landlord of 170 years ago called Silas Coggin. His lifestyle was very 'mish-mash', so the name was coined by him to describe what customers could expect when entering!

The World Upside Down is now a place for simplicity. Good food, good wine, good beer, and good service.
